Place

Le360 places the operation in "une zone rurale dans les environs de la ville de Fès" (Le360, 10 October 2026) and Hespress English in "a farm near Fez" (Hespress English, 10 October 2026). Neither names the commune or the province, so no second-level division is stored. The pin is the point for Fès city and marks the area, not the farm.

Quantities

Le360 gives the weight as "4 tonnes et 100 kilogrammes de chira (résine de cannabis)" and Hespress English as "four tonnes and 100 kilograms" in the text and "4.1 tonnes" in the headline. The headline and summary here give 4,100 kg, converted from tonnes.

Attribution

Hespress English says "authorities suspecting that the equipment was intended to move drug shipments through maritime routes" and that the boats and engines "are suspected of having been prepared for maritime smuggling operations". Le360 calls them "soupçonnés d'être utilisés dans des opérations de trafic international de drogues" and does not mention the sea. Neither names a destination. The summary gives the maritime suspicion to Hespress.

Sources not used

No statement from the Directorate General for National Security was found. Hespress English says its account follows "security-source reporting carried by several Moroccan outlets", and Le360 names no spokesperson.
