Dating

Armenpress gives 29 September 2026 as the day "the two men allegedly collected a shipment of drugs from a hiding place near Nrnadzor village", and does not give a separate date for the interception. The stored date is 29 September.

Source discrepancies

The two reports read differ on the Iranian citizen's part. Armenpress (12 October 2026) says "The hiding place had been indicated by an Iranian citizen whose identity has not yet been established", and also that the two men "had allegedly conspired with the Iranian citizen to obtain the drugs". Nouvelles d'Arménie (13 October 2026) says only that they "auraient comploté avec un citoyen iranien dont l'identité n'a pas encore été établie". Armenpress calls the drug marijuana and Nouvelles d'Arménie calls it cannabis. This news item follows Armenpress.

Map pin

The reports place the interception "in the Meghri community" without a site. The pin is OpenStreetMap's point for the town of Meghri, rounded to two decimals, and marks the community, not the place where the car was stopped.
