Discussion

Dating

The article, "Battle to stop dagga spraying" by Kimon de Greef (GroundUp, 20 April 2016), dates the spraying only to "March 2014". She "recounted the incident two years later, in March 2016". The stored date is the first day of that month.

Attribution

The account is the grower's own, given under a pseudonym ("Cynthia (not her real name)"). The police are not quoted on this incident.

Map pin

The article places the spraying "in a remote valley outside Port St Johns" and names no village. The pin is the town of Port St Johns, seat of the local municipality, and marks the area, not the valley.
