Discussion
Evidentiary scope
The label describes the plant as a Shrub, common in primary forest. Flowers white. and gives the local name Po kan cha (a local name for the plant), at NE: Loei, Wang Saphung, Phu Kradueng. on 21 April 1948. It records no cultivation and no use. The plant grew in forest, outside cultivation. The accession is classified Feral, by inference from the label; the label does not say whether the plants descended from a crop. A single gathering does not establish a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
The label names Phu Kradueng, a plateau that gives its name to the district around it, and no collection point on it. The district is georeferenced rather than declined: the infobox holds 16.90, 101.87, the point OpenStreetMap gives for the administrative area of Phu Kradueng District. It is an area point for the district, not a collection point, and it places the gathering only to within about 35 km. This supersedes the refusal recorded here earlier, which declined a point.
Editorial treatment
The label gives the district as Wang Saphung. OpenStreetMap places Phu Kradueng in Phu Kradueng District. The district field follows the present-day district; the label's district is quoted in the article.
The collector field uses the label form D. Nakkan.
The infobox image is the Forest Herbarium's own scan of SN 009255, which the herbarium publishes with all rights reserved. It is used under fair use, with the rationale on its file page.
Source discrepancies
- The Forest Herbarium catalogue gives the locality as Loei / Wang Saphung. The label adds Phu Kradueng, which the article and the locality field follow.
