Evidentiary scope
The label records the plant as cultivated and introduced. It was grown in an open field in forest and cultivated for smoking the leaves as a narcotic. It gives a common name, gun cha. It is a single gathering. It shows neither a continuing population nor a living germplasm holding, so it supports neither a landrace nor a feral classification. The accession is classified Other. No conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
The label names the Sisangwan Valley on the south-west side of Doi Suthep at 850 m. The valley was not found in OpenStreetMap by Nominatim. Without it, the label narrows the place only to one flank of a mountain. No coordinate is asserted, under the Tier C refusal of the coordinate ruling of 18 September 2026. The district field follows the label's Hang Dong.
Editorial treatment
The accession is filed under the Academy's sheet, which carries the full label and is published under CC0. The California Botanic Garden's sheet is a duplicate; its catalogue data are published under a non-commercial licence and are cited, not reproduced.
The label spells the mountain Doi Sutep; the article links the usual spelling, Doi Suthep. The collector field uses the label form J.F. Maxwell. The local name field holds the label's common name as written.

- The Academy's catalogue gives the district as Kong Dong. The label reads Hang Dong, which the article and the district field follow.
