Evidentiary scope
The handwritten label gives Lieu: Vendue sur le marché (sold in the market), the province Vientiane, the country Laos and the date May 1973, and it gives the vegetation and soil as cultivée dans jardin (cultivated in a garden). It records the local name Kan Xa mè, the female plant, and uses as a drug (the female plant only) and in popular medicine. The plant was bought, not gathered, and the label does not say where the garden was or where the plant was grown. It shows that cannabis was on sale in Vientiane in May 1973, grown in gardens, and used as a drug and a medicine. The accession is classified Unknown. No conservation priority is assigned.
