Sources
- detikcom, 2 July 2007 ("Biji Ganja di Gulai Kameng", no byline). The seller was interviewed at Peuniti, Banda Aceh, on Sunday 1 July 2007. The report glosses gulai kameng as gulai kambing. The quotation in the article is the report's.
- Transnational Institute (2016), p. 4: goat curry and Acehnese noodles among the local dishes. Note 16 gives the passage's sources as Boorsma (1917, 1918), interviews by Lingkar Ganja Nusantara and a 2015 Sydney Morning Herald report. The article names the interviews, the one source in the note that reports what Acehnese cooks do now; the others are colonial reports and a news report on coffee.
Is it cannabis?
- The seller names biji ganja (cannabis seed), bought ground from a spice seller. The report gives no test or botanical identification. The page states the use as the seller's account.
Infobox
- first_recorded is 2007, the year of the earliest cited report of the dish with cannabis seed.
- still_made is Not known: no cited source after 2007 reports the seed in this dish.
- gulai kambing, the name the report gives in Indonesian, is the general Indonesian name for goat curry, so it is not a redirect to this page.
Not used
- The Sydney Morning Herald (2015) says the Acehnese seasoning "made the best goat curry in the land, so they say". The line is the paper's own and names no informant.
- The 2016 briefing's goat curry is not stated to be gulai kameng by name. The article reports it as the briefing's words.
