Why Doi Langka is a growing area
- Garrett 851 and 852 (1933): Forest Herbarium sheet image of 851 read; "Cultivated by Mêo people for weaving", local name Pān (ป่าน), Doi Langka and Mê Soi, about 1,100 m.
- The status is Active. The sheets are from 1933; no source cited is later than 1933, and none says that growing there has ended.
Extent and border
- The border is Mueang Pan District, Lampang (OpenStreetMap), about 980 km²: the district stored for both sheets, which holds Ban Doi Lanka and the main summit. The massif also reaches into Wiang Pa Pao (Chiang Rai) and Doi Saket (Chiang Mai), which are not included. The Forest Herbarium's catalogue gives the sheets' major area as Chiang Rai.
- Where Mê Soi lies was not established.
