Colombia is the Country page for Colombia. Its cannabis material is the decriminalisation of the personal dose in 1994, the medical framework of 2016 and two Punto Rojo seed accessions from near Calarcá, Quindío. Most of its sections are stubs.

Discussion
Infobox fields
- Legal status. "Personal dose decriminalised; medical use licensed", class decriminalized, year 1994. The instrument is Sentencia C-221 of 5 May 1994, in which the Constitutional Court struck down the articles of Law 30 of 1986 that punished the personal dose, on the right to the free development of personality. A constitutional judgment takes its own year, as South Africa's 2018 does on the Prince judgment. Law 1787 of 2016 built the medical framework and is described in the Legal status section rather than taking the field.
- Image caption. The photograph is of Barichara, in Santander. Both accessions come from near Calarcá in Quindío, another department, so the caption names Barichara and Santander and says nothing that ties the photograph to the accessions.
Sources
- Legal sourcing is secondary. Neither Sentencia C-221 of 1994 nor Law 1787 of 2016 has been read in its own text; the page cites a Dejusticia review and a 2017 article in the Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Sociales, and each legal statement carries a verification tag. The court's published judgment and the Diario Oficial text of the law would replace them.
- The accessions. The two accessions (ZOM-COL-QUIN-0120240001, ZOM-COL-QUIN-0120240002) are field collections. The page's statements on them follow the accession pages, and the quotation on the effect of the 'Incense' selection is copied from its accession page.
Where the accession data disagree
- Elevation. Both accessions give "1865 meters elevation" in their prose and
elevation = 1,564in their infobox, the stored value. The country page gives no elevation. - Date. The accessions name the selections "2023" (harvest 2023) and give 15 January 2024 as the collection date. The page says the seed was collected in January 2024.
Statements removed and why
- "One of the classic landrace cannabis grounds of the Americas": no source ranks it.
- That the two accessions "are unlike most of the seed-vendor material elsewhere in this corpus", and the paragraph comparing them with the holdings for Madagascar, Myanmar, Lebanon and Malawi: statements about the wiki's holdings, not about Colombia.
- The grower's account given as "a long-day, working man's cannabis, one that leaves you wanting to garden or sweep the floor rather than sit still": presented as the grower's own words but paraphrased, and "rather than sit still" is not in the accession. Its words are now quoted. "Long day" there reads as a working day; the accession gives the photoperiod as short-day.
- That the accessions are "accordingly" recorded at critical priority: the accessions do not give the reason for the priority.
Open questions
- History is a section stub. The history that belongs there is the export era of the 1970s and early 1980s (the bonanza marimbera, centred on the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta) and the landrace names that came out of it. Every account of it found so far is a seed-catalogue or blog retelling. The Colombian drug-policy literature in SciELO and the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development are the places to start.
- Agriculture is a section stub. No area figure, production estimate or account of cannabis in the Colombian rural economy from a reliable source has been found. Whether UNODC's crop monitoring in Colombia has ever covered cannabis, as distinct from coca, has not been checked.
- Trade and commerce is a section stub. Law-firm and industry sources describe Colombia as one of Latin America's larger licensed exporters of medical cannabis. No reliable source with figures for the licensed sector's size, exports or licences has been found, and none are given.
- Demographics is a section stub. No sourced account of who grows or uses cannabis in Colombia as a community, or of any customary or ritual relationship to the plant, has been found.
