Evidentiary scope
The label describes a herb cult. on slope (cultivated on a slope) at Meng Shan, Fei Hsien, at 700 m, on 27 July 1936, with greenish-yellow flowers. It gives no use and no local name. Drug-type cannabis from different regions began to be cross-bred, and its seed carried into old growing areas, in the 1970s (McPartland and Small 2020, pp. 84–85), so a hybrid origin is not considered for a sheet gathered in 1936. The accession is classified Landrace, by inference from the label. The sheet does not show what became of the crop or whether its seed survives, and no conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing
No point is given. The label names Meng Shan in Fei Hsien. Mengshan (Wikidata Q15950675) is a range where Mengyin, Pingyi and Fei counties meet, and its main peak, Guimengding, is in Pingyi (Chinese Wikipedia). The middle of Fei County in OpenStreetMap (relation 2813696, about 1,660 km²) is at 35.24, 117.94, about 36 km south of the range's point (35.56, 117.85) and so beyond the county's own radius of about 23 km: a county point would not take in the range. The label's 700 m is a height on the slopes, between SRTM's 1,046 m at the range's point and about 110 m on the county's plain, and no spot on the range can be chosen from it. The province field takes Shandong.
Editorial treatment
Classification. Herb, cult. on slope records a crop at the named place, Meng Shan in Fei Hsien.
Collectors. The label names T. Y. Cheo and L. Yen; the collector field takes the first, T. Y. Cheo, and the title his number. The Harvard botanist index treats T. Y. Cheo & L. Yen as a team collecting in Shantung in 1936, whose members are Tai-Yien Cheo (周太炎, 1912–2004), a Chinese botanist, and Yen, L., known by initial and surname only; Wikidata gives Cheo's birth as 28 July 1912. A specimen citation in a 1976 Arnold Arboretum revision places Cheo & Yen 246 at Meng Shan, Fei Hsien. The prose links Tai-Yien Cheo and names L. Yen in plain text.
Pollen slip. The slip of March 1985 records a pollen sample taken from the sheet; the sample's use is not stated.
