Evidentiary scope
This entire accession rests on one sentence in one Overgrow post (vinu58ster, 30 April 2024, in the saved search-results dump for "cocogenes"). No cocogenes.com listing, no other reseller, and no other forum post naming "Malana Selection 2020" was found. Not one accession: the bundled listing
The worklist row behind this page, "Kerala Selection 2020 / Malana Selection 2020 / Western Karnataka (Kolar) Selection", bundles three differently-located products named in the same Overgrow sentence: a Kerala line, this Malana line, and a Western Karnataka (Kolar) line. It is in this lane's worklist only because of the Malana element — Himachal Pradesh is this lane's territory. Per the drafting brief, the row is not forced into one accession and is not split across province codes by this lane.
Malana is drafted here, as COC-IND-HIM-0100000006, since Malana is squarely Himachal Pradesh.
Kerala is handled by the sibling lane covering South Indian states, which independently found the same Overgrow post and used it as corroborating evidence for its own Kerala accessions. Cross-referenced here: COC-IND-KER-0100000001 and COC-IND-KER-0100000002.

This page was first drafted asCOC-IND-HIM-0100000006, reading the "2020" in the source's label "Malana Selection 2020" as playing the same role as a site Season category. Éloïse's ruling (RULINGS_2026-09-23.md §5) is specifically about the site's Season category, and there is no cocogenes.com listing for this line at all — the only witness is a 2024 Overgrow post. Applied literally, no year enters the ID. This also makes the batch internally consistent: the same sentence names "Kerala Selection 2020", "Shillong Selection 2020" and "Western Karnataka (Kolar) Selection", and those three were drafted with year0000(COC-IND-KER-0100000001,COC-IND-MEG-0100000002,COC-IND-KAR-0100000004). Reversible if the year-label is later accepted as equivalent to a Season category, in which case all four move together, not this one alone. - Descriptive name.
Malana General Population. The trailing year is omitted because the ID year is0000, per this batch's confirmed convention. The source's own label, "Malana Selection 2020", is quoted verbatim in the article, so the 2020 is preserved where the source puts it — in the line's name — rather than asserted as a collection year. - Locality / province.

Possible duplicate
Malana carries a real risk of conflation on this wiki: five existing accessions already carry it as locality — RSC-IND-HIM-0120210001 ("Malana Cream General Population 2021") and four 2022 Zomia Collective selections (ZOM-IND-HIM-1020220023, -024, -026, -027). Talk:Coco Genes (live) explicitly withholds linking Coco Genes' own Malana-attributed material to any of them. This accession is not asserted to be the same as any of the five.
Within this batch, COC-IND-HIM-0100000004 ("Lama Malana") is flagged possible_same_as this row. Both concern Malana-attributed Coco Genes material; neither source (the Lama Malana product listing; this Overgrow post) mentions the other, and nothing read ties them together beyond both naming Malana and Coco Genes.
