Stainton 1590 is an accession record for a pressed herbarium specimen of Cannabis sativa collected by J.D.A. Stainton with Sykes and Williams near Ghasa, Nepal, on 6 July 1954. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris holds the sheet as catalogue P06780050.[1] GBIF records it as preserved specimen occurrence 731718367.[2] The catalogue identifies 1590 as Stainton's collector number.
Collection and locality
The catalogue transcribes the locality as “Ghasa, S. of Tukucha, Kali Gandaki valley” and describes the habitat as an open grass hillside.[1] The sheet is attributed to Stainton, Sykes and Williams and dated 6 July 1954.[1]
