Police make at least 13 more arrests in an investigation into a network that prosecutors say trafficked hashish from Morocco into Spain
El Español reported on 7 October 2026, citing sources linked to the investigation, that the Policía Nacional's central drugs and organised crime unit (UDYCO) had made at least 13 more arrests on the Monday and Tuesday of that week, adding to 22 arrests in an earlier wave. The investigation has seized 10.8 tonnes of hashish and 12.30 kg of marijuana since December 2025. According to a complaint filed by the Special Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office with the Audiencia Nacional, the network trafficked hashish from Morocco in large quantities, landing it in provinces including Huelva, Cádiz, Almería and Alicante and moving it to Madrid for sale.
