Joint teams destroy cannabis on about 25 hectares at Tosh and Malana in the Kasol forest range

Punjab Kesari reported on 27 September 2026 that joint teams carrying out a cannabis eradication drive in the Kasol forest range of Kullu district had destroyed illegally grown cannabis at Tosh and Malana. According to departmental information cited in the report, a team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the State Task Force destroyed cannabis on about 10 hectares of forest land in the Tosh beat, uprooting about 12 lakh (1.2 million) plants, and a team from the NCB, local police and the Forest Department destroyed cannabis on about 15 hectares at Malana.
