NCB-led joint teams begin a month-long drive to destroy illicit cannabis in Kullu district

The New Indian Express reported on 26 September 2026 that the Narcotics Control Bureau had begun a joint operation with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Himachal Pradesh Police and the State Forest Department to identify and destroy illegally cultivated cannabis in remote high-altitude areas of Kullu district. The report says the operation began on Friday, which was 25 September, and cites unnamed sources saying it would run for about a month.
