RPF find 32 kg of ganja in abandoned bags on a Chennai-bound express at Jolarpet

The Hindu reported that a Railway Protection Force team, carrying out surprise checks at Jolarpet railway station on 17 September 2026, found 32 kg of ganja in two bags abandoned in the general compartment of an express train halted on platform 2 on its way to Chennai. According to an initial inquiry, three people had abandoned the bags and fled when they saw the team. The Jolarpet RPF registered a case and examined CCTV footage.
