Customs seize 5.5 kg of ganja from a passenger arriving from Bangkok at Delhi airport

The Press Trust of India reported, citing an official statement, that customs officers at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi stopped a Myanmar national who arrived at Terminal 3 from Bangkok on 11 September 2026. Five polythene pouches in her trolley bag were found to hold 5.5 kg of suspected ganja, which the statement valued at about 1.93 crore rupees. She was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
