Four men arrested over dried cannabis at three locations in Tidore

The narcotics unit of the Tidore city police reported arresting four young men at three locations in Kota Tidore Kepulauan, North Maluku, in the early hours of 26 August 2026. Police said officers stopped two men outside a water depot in Kelurahan Tomagoba after one discarded three sachets and that questioning led them to a third man in Kelurahan Gurabati, where six sachets and one compressed block were found and then to a fourth in Kelurahan Tongowai, where six further sachets were recovered. According to the police spokesman, the fourth man acknowledged owning the material and said it had been obtained from Papua. Police gave no aggregate weight for the seizure.
