Delhi police report seizing 106.25 kilograms of charas in two raids on a Nepal supply network
Delhi police said on 14 August 2026 that the South District special staff had dismantled a charas supply network operating between Nepal and Delhi, recovering 106.25 kilograms in two operations. Officers seized 8.598 kilograms and arrested three men at a house in Kotla Mubarakpur on 29 June 2026, and recovered a further 97.652 kilograms in thirteen bags at a flat in Wazirabad on 12 August. Police said the consignments were moved by road from the Sonauli area of the India Nepal border and stored in residential flats before distribution, and News18 reported police sources placing the origin at Kakri in the Rukum district of Nepal. Four Nepalese nationals were arrested and a case was registered under sections 20, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. None of the four has been tried.
