New Jalpaiguri police seize ganja at Fulbari in Siliguri and arrest two men from Dinhata

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that plain-clothes police from New Jalpaiguri police station searched a small four-wheeler in the Jiyaganj area of Fulbari in the afternoon and recovered ganja from inside it. The report gave no weight and put the estimated market value at a few lakh rupees. Two men were arrested and named in the report, both described as residents of the Dinhata area of Cooch Behar district, and the vehicle was seized. Police told the paper their initial view was that the consignment had been collected in Dinhata and was to move through Siliguri to Bihar.
