Sonarpur police and the Baruipur special operations group seize about 50 kg of ganja at Kalikapur and arrest six

Ei Muhurte reported that Sonarpur police station recovered about 50 kg of ganja and arrested six people, three of them women. The report attributed to police sources that all six were residents of Malda, and to a preliminary police investigation that they intended to bring ganja from Malda and sell it in parts of South 24 Parganas. According to the report Sonarpur police and the special operations group of Baruipur police district had been watching the Kalikapur area in advance, and those arrested arrived by local train from Sealdah and got off at Kalikapur station. The report said a case was registered under the narcotics law and that the six were produced at Alipur court.
