Farakka police seize ganja from a container at a National Highway 12 checkpoint and arrest the driver

Bartaman Patrika reported that police searching a checkpoint on National Highway 12 at Farakka on the Wednesday evening arrested one young man and recovered a large quantity of ganja hidden in a container. The report named him and placed his home in the Sagardighi police station area. It said the container was heading towards Berhampore and that police were investigating where the consignment came from and where it was going, and that he was produced before the Berhampore district court and remanded for seven days.
