Ghoksadanga police seize about 68 kg of ganja from two cars on the Pundibari to Falakata highway

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that Ghoksadanga police arrested three people with 68 kg of ganja and that two others escaped from the spot. The paper said one of those arrested lives in the Panishala area and the other two in Nadia. Police had advance information that ganja was being moved in two cars along the Pundibari to Falakata national highway, and a team led by the officer in charge waited on the highway and gave chase as the cars passed. One car overturned beside a village road while leaving the highway through the Unishbisha Ambari area and both its occupants escaped. The second car was stopped and its three occupants detained, and ganja hidden in 49 small packets in chambers built into various parts of the two cars was recovered, amounting to about 68 kg.
