DRI seize 32.466 kg of cannabis and 22.027 kg of hydroponic cannabis in raids at Kolkata airport and two Jadavpur premises

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Kolkata Zonal Unit, searched three locations, one at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and two residential premises in the Bijoygarh locality of Jadavpur. The Ministry of Finance said hydroponic cannabis, cannabis and cocaine were found at the first residence and a quantity of cannabis packed for distribution at the second. The Statesman reported the total seizure as 32.466 kg of cannabis, 22.027 kg of hydroponic cannabis and 345 g of cocaine, together with cash. Ten Indian nationals were arrested, and in a simultaneous operation at the airport four carriers arriving from Bangkok were intercepted.
