BSF detain a man carrying 5 kg of ganja in the Kalindi river at Hemnagar

Ei Muhurte reported that troops of 77 Bn of the Border Security Force were patrolling the Kalindi river by speedboat in the early hours when they saw a man swimming across with a sack on his back. The report said he was stopped mid river off the Ghumti area under Hemnagar coastal police station and that 5 kg of ganja was recovered, which the outlet valued at about 50,000 rupees. The man was named in the report and given as a resident of Satkhira district in Bangladesh. He was reported as telling questioners he was taking the ganja from India into Bangladesh, an account attributed to him rather than established, and the BSF handed him to police.
