Hasnabad police seize 205 kg of ganja across two locations and arrest three

Ei Muhurte reported that Hasnabad police station stopped a vehicle in the Mohanpur area of Hasnabad at night and recovered about 27 kg of ganja from it, detaining the three occupants. The report said that after questioning them the same night police recovered a further 178 kg of ganja from a medicine shop in the Jibantala police station area of South 24 Parganas, which the outlet gave as a total of 205 kg. Police were reported as understanding the three to have been building up stock in the Hasnabad border belt with the intention of moving it to Bangladesh, an account attributed to police rather than established. The three were reported as sent to the Barasat subdivisional court.
