Two Sri Lankans held with 210 kg ganja off TN coast

Thanjavur fishermen rescued two Sri Lankan nationals — A. Ajandhan (36) and V. Jeevanandam (51) from Talaimannar — found stranded in the sea off Maravakadu coast, clinging to diesel cans after their boat collapsed. Seven bags containing approximately 200 kg of cannabis were found floating alongside them, tied to the men. The fishermen from Keezhathottam near Athirampattinam alerted Athirampattinam marine police, who arrested the pair upon landing. The suspects had been attempting to swim back to the Sri Lankan coast with the contraband after their vessel failed.
