Rampurhat police seize about 29 kg of ganja from a pickup van on National Highway 14

Ei Muhurte reported that Birbhum police seized ganja in the morning from the New Town area of Rampurhat police station on the Raniganj to Morgram National Highway 14. Police sources gave the quantity as about 29 kg and the report says three people were arrested on a charge of trafficking ganja. According to the paper Rampurhat police station officers acted on special information and laid an ambush on the highway, then stopped a pickup van coming from the direction of Siliguri and searched it. The report says the three tried to run but were caught, that the pickup van was also seized, and that police were investigating where the consignment had come from and where it was going.
