New Jalpaiguri police seize 186 kg of ganja from a container van at the Fulbari check post

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that the anti crime wing of New Jalpaiguri police station searched a container van at the Fulbari check post at about 7 pm and recovered 186 kg of ganja hidden under a load of mats. The report put the market value of the seizure at more than 20 lakh rupees. Police said the consignment was being moved from Assam towards Maharashtra behind the cover of the freight. Two men were arrested and named in the report, both understood to be residents of Pune in Maharashtra.
