Police seize 25 kg 700 g of ganja from two women travelling by bus at Nishiganj

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that two sisters were caught by police at Nishiganj while trafficking ganja. The paper said that during checkpoint searching of a private passenger bus running from Cooch Behar towards Mathabhanga, five bags were recovered from the two women, and that searching all of them produced 25 kg 700 g of ganja in special packing. Both are residents of the Patiram area of Dakshin Dinajpur district. An additional superintendent of police told the paper that a case had been registered and that police had begun investigating. The report names no acting unit beyond the police.
