Memari police seize 47 kg of ganja and 41.87 lakh rupees in a cattle shed raid

Millennium Post reported that police seized 47 kg of ganja and 41.87 lakh rupees in cash in Purba Bardhaman district, acting on a tip-off and raiding a cattle shed in the Memari area. An additional superintendent of police said one of the two confiscated sacks held small and medium pouches of ganja while the other held one-kilogram packets, and that the cash was in 500, 100 and 20 rupee denominations. Sangbad Pratidin, reporting the same raid, named a woman of ward 1 of Memari as arrested, credited the Purba Bardhaman Special Operations Group cell together with Memari police station, placed the cash in the basement and the ganja behind cattle feed, and said the house was sealed.
