Kharibari police seize 129 kg of ganja from a hidden chamber in a pickup van at Kharibari bazar

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that Kharibari police seized 129 kg of ganja from an area next to Kharibari bazar late on Tuesday night and arrested two men. The report said police carrying out naka checking noticed a pickup van with an Alipurduar number plate and searched it, and that the packets were found in a chamber built into the vehicle. The report put the market value of the seizure at about 10 lakh rupees. Police said the plan had been to move the consignment from Cooch Behar through Kharibari into Bihar. The pickup van was seized.
