Coke Oven police seize 75 kg of ganja near Raturia Angadpur in Durgapur

The Statesman reported that Coke Oven police station in Durgapur arrested four people under the narcotics law and seized 75 kg of ganja after a tip-off. A deputy commissioner of police of the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate said the four were caught before the consignment was to be delivered to someone in the Waria area. The report said police stopped a vehicle during a checkpoint search on the road between Gammon Bridge and the Raturia Angadpur industrial park and found packets of ganja in the boot and in a trolley bag, and that three of the accused had brought the consignment from Barbil in Odisha by train.
