Special Operations Group seize 94 kg of ganja from an abandoned car at Bagbati Mor in Ausgram

Ei Muhurte reported that the state police Special Operation Group and the Purba Bardhaman district police stopped a vehicle near Bagbati Mor in Ausgram at night and recovered 94 kg of ganja. The paper said the units were running checkpoint searches around Ausgram on the strength of secret information, and that when officers moved to stop a car near Bagbati Mor in the Bhedia area the driver and one other man abandoned it and fled. A search of the vehicle produced about 94 kg of ganja in polythene-wrapped packets and sacks. An additional superintendent of police said the vehicle and the narcotics had been seized following legal procedure, that a case had been registered at Ausgram police station, and that police had begun investigating where the consignment was going.
