Falakata police seize 43 kg of marijuana from a vehicle compartment and arrest two

Millennium Post reported that Falakata police raided a hotel on Madari Road in Falakata at night and recovered 43 kg of marijuana, which police valued at 6 lakh rupees. The report said the consignment was hidden in a concealed compartment of a vehicle belonging to a couple, both named in the report and described as being from Nadia district. Both were arrested and a case was registered under the NDPS Act. The same report carries a separate seizure of Burmese teak by Buxa Tiger Reserve staff, which is not a cannabis matter.
