Nishiganj police seize 23 kg 700 g of ganja from two men on a motorcycle

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that police arrested two young men riding a motorcycle and recovered 23 kg 700 g of ganja from them. The paper said officers led by the Nishiganj outpost officer in charge carried out a checkpoint search in front of the Nishiganj fire station on the Cooch Behar to Mathabhanga state highway in the afternoon after information was received. The ganja was recovered from several bags on the motorcycle, and police understood the two were travelling from the Maghpala area towards Falakata railway station. A subdivisional police officer told the paper that a case had been registered and an investigation begun.
