Sitai and Dinhata police destroy cannabis across about 22 bighas at Takimari and Natunbas
Uttarbanga Sambad reported that Sitai and Dinhata police ran an operation to destroy illegally cultivated cannabis. The paper said the joint operation covered Takimari in the Petla gram panchayat under Dinhata police station and Natunbas in the Brahmottarchatra gram panchayat under Sitai police station, and that police stated about 22 bighas of cannabis fields had been destroyed. Dinhata police separately destroyed cannabis fields at Bhoram in the Gitaldaha 1 gram panchayat and Balabari in the Bhetaguri 2 gram panchayat. The paper said police of the two stations had already destroyed cannabis fields in several rounds across the Dinhata subdivision during the season. The inspectors in charge of both stations gave the information.
