Chopra police recover 170 kg of ganja from a car that crashed at Mridhagachh

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that 170 kg of ganja was recovered from a car after it crashed on the national highway in the Mridhagachh area of Chopra police station in the afternoon. The paper said a small four wheeler travelling towards Islampur lost control and hit a shop, and that police recovered a large number of ganja packets from the vehicle while carrying out the recovery. It reported, on local accounts, that two people including the driver were in the car, that the injured driver was detained and taken to the police station after treatment, and that the other man absconded. The recovery followed a traffic accident rather than an interception.
