Siliguri commissionerate special task force seize 161 kg 895 g of ganja from a hidden chamber in a car on Ambari Canal Road

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that the special task force of the Siliguri police commissionerate stopped a white four-wheeled vehicle on Ambari Canal Road near the flyover in the New Jalpaiguri police station area in the morning and recovered 26 parcels wrapped in brown paper. The report said the parcels held 161 kg 895 g of ganja in total and put the estimated market value at 16 lakh rupees. One man was arrested and named in the report and described as a resident of the Bataigol bazar area under Metelli police station. A second man in the vehicle jumped out and escaped when he saw the police, and the ganja and the vehicle were seized.
