Cooch Behar police seize about 400 kg of ganja from a lorry at Chakchaka on National Highway 17

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that police seized 40 packets of ganja from a lorry that had come from Tripura, on National Highway 17 in the Chakchaka area near Cooch Behar town. The superintendent of police told the paper the quantity was about 400 kg, that it had been hidden in a compartment built inside the lorry and that it was being taken from Tripura towards Bihar. The driver was named in the report and arrested. A separate seizure of brown sugar and yaba tablets described in the same report itemises no cannabis and is not part of this event.
