Railway police seize 21 kg 600 g of ganja from unclaimed bags on a train at Dalkhola station

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that the government railway police at Dalkhola seized 21 kg 600 g of ganja from a train. The paper said the force was carrying out routine checking when the train stopped at platform two of Dalkhola station, and that three bags were noticed in a general compartment towards the rear. Nobody claimed the bags, a search produced four packets found to hold ganja, and the owner was not traced. Police told the paper they believed the consignment was being brought from Assam by a courier who went into hiding once the bags were found. The paper put the market value at more than 2 lakh rupees.
