Border task force and Merauke customs find 116 cannabis plants at Km 56 in Sesnuk

ANTARA reported that a joint team of the border security task force of Infantry Battalion 725/Woroagi and Merauke customs officers found a cannabis plot of about 200 square metres holding 116 plants in forest at kilometre 56 in Sesnuk district, Boven Digoel regency, on 14 June 2023. The commander of the task force, Lieutenant Colonel Syafruddin Mutasidasi, said the site was located through information developed after two narcotics arrests at the kilometre 53 checkpoint in April 2023. The report said the plot's owner had not been identified and that the case remained under investigation. No arrests were reported at the site.
