State police special task force seize 64 kg of ganja carried in a coffin inside an ambulance at Fulbari

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that the special task force of the West Bengal Police stopped an ambulance on Ambari Canal Road near Fulbari at about 9 am and found ganja inside a large coffin being carried in the vehicle. The report said the people sitting around the coffin objected to the stop and identified themselves as relatives of the dead, and that the search went ahead over their objection. The special task force seized 64 kg of ganja along with the ambulance and the coffin. Four people were arrested and named in the report, all described as residents of Dinhata in Cooch Behar, and a case was registered under the narcotics law at New Jalpaiguri police station.
