Police find five cannabis farms with over 2,000 plants near Lovu village, Gau

Officers from the Eastern Division task force, Criminal Investigations Department, K9 unit, Crime Scene Investigation and the Qarani Community Post discovered five cannabis farms in the hills above Lovu village on Gau Island. More than 2,000 plants were seized. Acting Assistant Commissioner Livai Driu said youths from Nawaikama and Lovu villages assisted with the search of the interior. The discovery was attributed to community support in curbing the illicit drug trade.
