Jalpaiguri police seize nearly 2 quintal of ganja from a lorry at Paharpur

Ei Muhurte reported that the Special Operations Group of the Jalpaiguri district police received information on Saturday night that a large quantity of ganja was moving from Tripura to Bihar along National Highway 31, and stopped the lorry at Paharpur in Jalpaiguri. The report said a first search found nothing and that a second search revealed a hidden compartment above the driver's cabin holding 20 large packets. Nearly 2 quintal was seized in the presence of a magistrate and the three men in the lorry were arrested. The district superintendent of police told the outlet the vehicle was travelling from Tripura towards Bihar.
