Two fields with 492 cannabis plants uncovered at Seberaya in Karo, two arrested

Satresnarkoba Polres Tanah Karo announced on 7 January 2022 that it had uncovered two cannabis fields totalling 492 plants at Desa Seberaya, Tigapanah district, after arresting two local men, identified as AM and SB. Kompas reported 313 harvest-ready plants, 21 harvested stems and 136 seedlings at the first field, where the suspect's house also yielded dried cannabis and two packets of methamphetamine. The second field held 15 harvest-ready plants, 21 seedlings and two packages of dried cannabis. Police chief AKBP Ronny Nicolas Sidabutar said both men face charges under Articles 111 and 114 of the 2009 Narcotics Law.
