Debra police seize 30 kg of ganja at an NH16 checkpoint and Kharagpur rural police 27 kg in a drive across the district

The Bengal Post reported that Debra police stopped a vehicle at a checkpoint on National Highway 16 and recovered 30 kg of ganja, arresting six people including the driver. The report said Kharagpur rural police separately recovered 27 kg and arrested four people aged between 17 and 22 whom it described as residents of Medinipur town. The report presented both actions as part of a drive running across the district.
