Memari and Jamalpur police seize about 300 kg of ganja from a goods vehicle at Palsit toll plaza

Sangbad Pratidin reported that police recovered about 300 kg of ganja in a search on the national highway at the Palsit toll plaza under Memari police station. The paper said the operation was led by the subdivisional police officer with the officers in charge of Memari and Jamalpur police stations and block officials, acting on secret information, and that the vehicle and the ganja were recovered at dawn after an operation lasting most of the night. One person in the vehicle fled and the driver was arrested and named in the report. Police said the goods vehicle had picked up plastic paint at Dhulagarh for Samastipur in Bihar and that ganja worth 20 lakh rupees was loaded at Dankuni, with delivery to be made near Gaya.
