Suiyuan General Population 1935 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from the former province of Suiyuan, in today's Inner Mongolia, China, on 15 November 1935 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 113315.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]
The lot
The department's printed inventory lists the lot as hemp in a consignment of "Seeds collected in Suiyuan Province by the Asiatic Expedition", received on 15 November 1935 and introduced for the department's specialists. The entry gives only the expedition's number, "No. 337 [11]".[2]
