Hsiamaling General Population 1924 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from Hsiamaling, in Beijing, China, on 5 January 1925 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 62402.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]

The lot

P. H. Dorsett, the department's agricultural explorer, collected seed in northern China in 1924; the consignment was received on 5 January 1925. The printed inventory lists three hemps in it, nos. 62401 to 62403. This lot is his number 1360, "Hsiamaling. November 10, 1924."[2] The other two are NPG-CHN-BEI-1119240001 and NPG-CHN-BEI-1119240003.
